1. General
1.1 These Terms & Conditions apply to all gift vouchers issued by Sofitel London St James, including accommodation, food & beverage, spa, and experience vouchers.
1.2 Purchase and use of a gift voucher constitutes acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
1.3 All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing UK rate.
2. Voucher Validity & Redemption
2.1 Gift vouchers are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
2.2 Each gift voucher features a unique reference ID code and may only be redeemed once.
2.3 Gift vouchers may not be redeemed within seventy-two (72) hours of purchase.
2.4 Gift vouchers are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash, replaced if lost or stolen, or refunded, except where required by law.
2.5 Once a gift voucher has been redeemed, whether in part or in full, any remaining balance will be forfeited and may not be carried forward.
2.6 The original gift voucher must be presented upon arrival when redeeming. Photocopies or reproductions will not be accepted. Where a voucher is not presented, an alternative method of payment will be required.
3. Bookings & Availability
3.1 Advance booking is required for all voucher redemptions and is subject to availability.
3.2 Availability may vary by date, service, or experience and is not guaranteed.
3.3 Details of the experience or service are correct at the time of issue; however, the hotel reserves the right to make changes where necessary. Any such changes will be advised at the time of booking.
3.4 Cancellation by the purchaser of a confirmed booking may, depending on the circumstances, render the gift voucher null and void.
4. Blackout Dates
4.1 Gift vouchers are not valid for redemption for accommodation or food & beverage on the following blackout dates and periods, as applicable each year:
• New Year’s Day (1 January)
• Valentine’s Day (14 February)
• Mother’s Day (UK)
• Easter Sunday
• Father’s Day (UK)
• Christmas Eve (24 December)
• Christmas Day (25 December)
• New Year’s Eve (31 December)
4.2 Variable-date events (including Easter Sunday, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day) shall apply on the dates on which they are observed in the United Kingdom in each calendar year.
4.3 A current list of applicable blackout dates will be available upon request or at the time of booking.
4.4 Redemption outside these dates remains subject to availability and advance booking.
5. Accommodation Vouchers
5.1 Accommodation vouchers are subject to availability at the time of booking.
5.2 Acceptance of accommodation vouchers as a form of payment is at the discretion of the hotel.
5.3 The hotel reserves the right to decline the use of accommodation vouchers on selected dates or under specific circumstances.
5.4 Once an accommodation booking has been confirmed using a voucher, it may not be cancelled, transferred, amended, rebooked for alternative dates, or refunded.
5.5 In the event of a no-show, the accommodation voucher will be rendered null and void.
5.6 Monetary vouchers redeemed against accommodation are valid only against the Flexible Rate.
6. Food & Beverage Vouchers
6.1 Food and beverage vouchers are subject to availability.
6.2 Food and beverage vouchers may not be used in conjunction with, or as a substitute for, any existing promotions, offers, discounts, or pre-set menus.
6.3 Food and beverage vouchers may not be combined with any other offer.
6.4 Any food or beverage items not expressly included within the voucher will be charged at the prevailing rate.
6.5 A discretionary service charge will be applied to food and beverage bills where applicable.
6.6 Food and beverage vouchers are not valid towards meetings or events bookings.
7. Spa Vouchers
7.1 For spa vouchers, weekdays are defined as Monday to Friday.
7.2 Weekends are defined as Saturday and Sunday.
7.3 All spa bookings are subject to availability and advance reservation.
8. Delivery
8.1 Postage and packaging are charged in addition to the voucher value and vary depending on the delivery method selected.
8.2 Delivery options include First Class UK post, UK Special Delivery, Airmail, and International Signed-For services.
8.3 Next-day delivery is available for UK addresses only for orders placed Monday to Friday before 12:00 noon, subject to Royal Mail terms and conditions.
8.4 Orders placed after 12:00 noon, on weekends, or on public holidays will be processed on the next working day.
9. Age Restrictions
9.1 Gift vouchers may only be redeemed by persons aged sixteen (16) years and over, unless otherwise stated.
10. Amendments
10.1 Sofitel London St James reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
10.2 Any amendments will not affect vouchers already purchased, except where required by law.
